LEAMINGTON lost out by two goals to one in an entertaining fixture at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium.

Tamworth took the early lead before Junior English levelled things for the Brakes following a corner. But with less than 20 minutes to go, Tamworth snatched the winning goal.

FOOTBALL: Coventry City 1-0 Peterborough United, April 8th 2017

FOLLOWING victory in the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley Stadium last Sunday, Coventry returned home to the Ricoh Arena for a home clash against Peterborough United.

Several chances in the first half were all saved, blocked or rebounded off the post as Peterborough struggled against the in-form Coventry side. However the visitors were handed a penalty at the end of the first-half, which was missed.

Ruben Lameiras struck in the second half in what proved to be the only goal of the game.
