CYCLE SPEEDWAY: British Championships Semi Final 1, August 26 2017

SOME of the country’s top cycle speedway racers descended on Birmingham on August Bank Holiday Saturday for the British Championship semi final.

Josh Brooke looked particularly quick while former champion Zac Payne hit the deck.

There were also good results for Coventry’s Myke Grimes and youngster Brandon Whetton. More images are available on request.

ICE HOCKEY: Coventry Blaze vs Manchester Storm, August 23 2017

COVENTRY Blaze started their 2017/18 schedule with a pre-season home tie against Manchester Storm.

The Blaze had to do it the hard way to win after being two goals down by the end of the first period. Two goals in the middle period followed by a stalemate third led to overtime.

Ryan Dingle was tripped while through on goal. He scored the subsequent overtime penalty shot as Blaze won 4-3.

CYCLE SPEEDWAY: Coventry vs Leicester, July 30 2017

CYCLE SPEEDWAY: Coventry vs Leicester, July 30 2017

A STRENGTH in depth Leicester side proved too strong for Coventry Sabres at Hearsall Common on Sunday afternoon.

Sabres gave away several costly points in the form of exclusions – both on track and at the tapes.

A determined fight back proved unsuccessful, though both sides raced in good spirits and left plenty of racing room – at times anyway!

HORSE RACING: Chester Races, July 1 2017

MY first visit to Chester Racecourse: Lively, bubbly, and fast.

Steeped in history, the course is the smallest in the UK – and is further unique as visitors to Chester can watch the racing for free of charge of the wall which runs parallel with the home straight.

NONE of the images below are for sale as I attended the fixture as a day out, however please feel free to drop shaun@shaunreynoldsphotography a line to see more.
